Gourgue did an absolutely wonderful job of getting across the feeling of this powerful storm.
Decourcelle Gourgue was born on August 24, 1927 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He attended college at St. Louis Gonzague. In 1957, he began studying painting with his brother Jacques Enguerrand Gourgue, an established artist. Decourcelle’s paintings are very rare and treasured by collectors worldwide. He has held exhibitions abroad as well as in Haiti.
